The Atal Bhujal Yojana (ATAL JAL) is a major initiative launched by the Ministry of Jal Shakti to address India’s pressing groundwater depletion issues. It focuses on sustainable groundwater management through community engagement and behavioral change.

    • Introduced in December 2019 with a financial outlay of ₹6,000 crore.
