SHe-Box Portal

Recently, the Ministry of Women and Child Development launched the SHe-Box portal to strengthen the implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013.

The portal ensures the complainant’s confidentiality by masking their personal details, accessible only to the Chairperson of the Internal Committee (IC) or Local Committee (LC).

Complaints can be filed by the aggrieved woman or a representative on her behalf, requiring basic details like work status, name, phone number, and email.

If the workplace's IC or LC is registered on the portal, complaints are automatically forwarded for necessary action.

The portal features a monitoring dashboard for nodal officers to track the number of complaints filed, resolved, and pending.

As per the Act, the inquiry must be completed within 90 days.
